Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service form an agreement between Seylac and the person or organisation using Seylac. If you use Seylac for a company, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that company.

Seylac is intended for lawful business and professional use. You must provide accurate registration information and be legally capable of entering into this agreement.

2. The Seylac service

Seylac may provide invoicing, customer and vendor records, expenses, bookkeeping, reports, banking and payment workflows, team permissions, integrations and AI-assisted features. Features may depend on your plan, region, permissions or connected providers.

Seylac is software, not a bank, accounting firm, tax adviser, law firm or investment adviser. A feature or integration does not guarantee that a transaction, filing or payment will be accepted by another provider or authority.

3. Accounts and security

• Keep login details confidential and use accounts only for authorised users.
• Maintain accurate company, billing and contact information.
• Assign roles and permissions carefully and remove access when it is no longer needed.
• Notify us promptly if an account, device or credential may be compromised.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by a failure for which Seylac is legally responsible.

4. Your data and records

You retain ownership of information entered into the workspace. You grant Seylac the limited rights needed to host, process, back up, display and transmit that information to provide the service.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to process customer, employee, vendor and other third-party data, and for the accuracy of invoices, tax rates, accounting entries and payment instructions.

5. AI-assisted features

Seylac AI may generate summaries, public-information answers and draft records. AI output is probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your circumstances.

• Review every preview before selecting Confirm & Create.
• Do not rely on AI output as legal, tax, accounting, medical, investment or other professional advice.
• Do not submit unlawful, confidential or sensitive information unless you are authorised to process it.
• Verify current public information and citations before acting on it.

Certain high-risk actions, including deletion, fund transfers, approvals and permission changes, may be restricted or unavailable through the AI assistant.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use Seylac to:

• Break the law, facilitate fraud, evade taxes or process prohibited transactions.
• Access another company’s workspace or data without permission.
• Upload malware, interfere with security, probe vulnerabilities or overload the service.
• Copy, reverse engineer or resell the service except where expressly permitted.
• Use automated methods that materially disrupt the service or bypass usage limits.
• Generate deceptive, infringing, abusive or unlawful content.

7. Third-party services

Connected banks, payment providers, accounting systems, AI providers and other integrations have their own terms and privacy practices. Seylac is not responsible for a third party’s service, availability or decisions. You authorise us to exchange the data required for an integration you choose to enable.

8. Fees and taxes

Paid plans, usage charges and billing periods are shown before purchase or in a separate order. You are responsible for applicable taxes and for keeping payment details current. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, paid fees are non-refundable once the applicable service period has begun.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but maintenance, security incidents, provider outages and events outside our control may affect availability. We may improve, replace, limit or discontinue features. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes.

10. Intellectual property

Seylac and its software, design, branding, documentation and underlying technology are owned by us or our licensors. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during the agreement.

Feedback may be used to improve Seylac without obligation to you, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Seylac at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address non-payment or respond to a material breach. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

After termination, access and data export may be limited. Certain records may be retained where required by law or legitimate security and dispute-resolution needs.

12. Warranties and liability

Seylac is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, error-free output, business results or the accuracy of third-party or AI-generated information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Seylac is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities or losses caused by user instructions, inaccurate records or third-party services. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the applicable laws stated in your Seylac service agreement and any mandatory laws that apply in your country. The parties should first try to resolve disputes in good faith. No Finnish jurisdiction is imposed unless it is expressly agreed for a Finland-specific service.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect service, security or legal changes. Continued use after the effective date of an update means you accept the revised terms, except where separate consent is legally required.
